80 Degrees is a heat wave?

Today on Fox News, Leslie Marshall (a liberal news commentator) was debating with Lars Larson (from Portland, a conservative radio news host) about the debt and what today's vote meant. She said 2 different times that Lars must be affected by the heat wave going on.

Say what?????? 80 degrees is a heat wave? Unfortunately Ms Marshall must not get out of the studio very much or know nothing about the Pacific NW. The weather today and for the past and future number of days is in the 80s, low 60s, minimal humidity. Guess wherever she is at (LALA LAND perhaps), she must not get out too much.
